commercial enforcement
The mission of the Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Division is to reduce commercial vehicle-involved crashes within the state by conducting roadside inspections and traffic enforcement on large commercial vehicles. The overall goal, of the SASTÂ Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Division, is to ensure the safety of commercial loads, trucks, and equipment. In order to reduce preventive crashes, load loss, and mishaps.

The mission of the canine unit is to enhance law enforcement crime fighting and prevention efforts in detection, criminal apprehension, officer safety, and service to the community. A specialized group of State Troopers in conjunction with their service canines will assist in the identification of illegal narcotics and firearms, the recovery of missing persons, and the capture of fugitive suspects.
